Application Fee
$350
The CMCP® application fee must be paid by all applicants, regardless of the eligibility pathway you choose. This fee is nonrefundable. After an application has been approved, the candidate must pay the Exam Fee to schedule and take their exam. Candidates have 14 days from the date their application is approved to pay the exam fee and begin their 180 day eligibility period.
Exam Fee
$100 or $250
The CMCP® exam fee includes the fee to take the exam; candidates may re-test for an additional fee below. Exam fees are dependent upon the eligibility pathway selected when applying. Please see the chart at the top of this page for more information. Upon approval of an application, a candidate has 14 days to pay the exam fee and begin their eligibility period.
Exams must be completed within a 180 day eligibility period from the date your exam payment is processed. Extensions may be requested for extenuating circumstances, such as military call to duty, maternity leave, illness, or other emergencies.
Re-Testing Fee
$250
If you do not pass the CMCP® exam, you may schedule a re-test after 30 days, and up to 3 re-tests in a 12-month period. Candidates wishing to re-test must submit a re-testing application. The Re-Testing Fee includes a $50 nonrefundable administrative fee. Contact BOMA at education@boma.org for information on re-examination.
Recertification Fee
$150
To maintain the CMCP™ certification, you must complete at least 45 hours of continuing education in commercial property management (including 3 hours of CRE ethics) every 3 years, demonstrate CRE employment within 90 days, and pay the recertification fee in effect at the time. The Recertification Fee includes a $50 nonrefundable administrative fee.
Refund Policy
- The Application Fee is nonrefundable for approved and unapproved applications. Please make sure applications are complete and contain all required supporting documentation before submitting.
- No refund requests will be granted after a missed exam appointment, unless there has been an unexpected emergency that can be supported with proper documentation. In these instances, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Once the original 180-day testing window has elapsed, no refund requests for the Exam Fee will be granted. To continue to move forward in the pursuit of the CMCP after the original eligibility period, candidates must submit an eligibility extension fee of $125 within 30 days of the original eligibility period.
